The causes of brain cancer are spread by cells from a body organ to the brain. Than once they are developed in a body organ they spread too the bloodstream or other body organs. The metastatic tumors are a mass of cells that formed in another body organ but they moved to the brain tissue. They are usually more common than regular brain tumors. But the thing is they name the cancer from the body organ where it first developed before it spread. The most common metastatic cancers to move to the brain tissue are: lung and breast cancer. Primary brain tumors start from glial cells, astrocytes and other brain cell types. They are not sure what causes brain cancer but by doing research these jobs have the most risk factors for getting the cancer. They are; oil refinery, handlers of jet fuel or chemicals (benzene), chemists, embalmers and rubber industry workers. Some people believe that brain cancer can develop from cell phone use but there is no proof of that. They have actually put it onto a list of things that may cause brain cancer.
Early signs of brain cancer are; weakness, difficulty walking, seizures, headaches, nausea, vommiting, blurry vision, changes in peoples alertness, mental capacity, memory, speech and personality. These symptoms do not always signal brain cancer. Cancer can occur in all of the parts of the brain which are; occipital, frontal, parietal/temporal lobes, brainstem and meningeal membranes. Some of the cancers you can actually have or feel no symptoms which is really scary.
If you think you may have brain cancer you need too go to your doctor for an interview of your medical history and a physical exam. Once they get that done they will figure out to do with you. What they will mostly refer you too is a CT scan which gives multiple x-rays. They don't really have to do anything excepts sometimes inject a dye into your veins. The other option for testing is an MRI. It just shows the series of x-rays in better detail. If you are diagnosed with cancer you are going to have to go through treatment. The treatments for brain cancer are; surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The doctors give you a special treatment depending on many characteristics and sometimes they will give you multiple treatments.
